Anatoly Nirshberg and Reasons to Get Out

If there is one thing we have learned by following the blog posts of Anatoly Nirshberg, is that people need to get out and travel, and try new things. Some of you may be rolling your eyes or shaking your head saying “I don’t have time for that,” and in truth you really need to. The benefits of being able to travel or actually traveling are quite extensive. Now I’m not saying that you have to leave and never come back or that you have to be gone for months at a time, but what I am saying is that it would do some good to leave for a few days or a week or so.

So how does this benefit you, you’re probably wondering and how could I possibly even afford to do it? Well, first know that by putting some money aside each pay day can help if you’re concerned about the money aspect of things.  Look for discounts and specials by signing up for mailing lists or traveling on what they call the off season. Off season is usually relative to tourist locations and the time of year in which most travelers tend to not visit that specific location. Most tourist locations tend to reach their peak of travelers during holidays and summer and spring break when kids aren’t in school.

While you certainly are welcome to travel during these times it will cost you more and make it more difficult to book reservations in lodging and restaurants. Next, let’s discuss making time to travel and get out. As mentioned before it can involve around the holidays or it can be just whatever works best for you and your schedule. There isn’t really a “Right” or “Wrong” time to travel and experience new things. The health benefits alone should be enough to convince you why traveling is such a great idea.

·         Meet new people
-          Instead of the same old thing every day, you’re getting out and meeting new people as well as learning new things about the location of your choice.
·         Exercise
-          Whenever traveling to a new location the first thing most people want to do is get out and explore that town or city. For some reason traveling equals getting exercise with all that vigorous walking you’ll do sight-seeing.
·         Appreciate what you have
-          Depending on if you leave country or not, you’ll learn to appreciate what you do have. Not all countries and places abroad are as fortunate as us and that means the little things you’ve taken for granted you’ll suddenly value a lot more.
·         You Learn to Adjust
-          When traveling there are endless things that can happen unexpectedly that may be out of your control. For this reason you will quickly learn to adjust, adapt and become more flexible about the little things that happen in life outside of our control.

I could go on all day as to why traveling is great and a must add to your bucket list, but honestly you just have to see for yourself.
